Wealden District  Council is carrying out a consultation on a document called Wealden Local Plan Issues, Options and Recommendations (click here to view) and also carrying out a consultation on a document called Wealden Local Plan Conservation Areas Issues, Options and Recommendations (click here to view). This plan will shape Wealden District (excluding the South Downs National Park) over the next 22 years. It is really important that you have the opportunity to look at the document and give your views on proposals for town centers, new homes, green spaces, infrastructure and job opportunities.

They are keen to hear the views of our community, including residents, businesses, voluntary organisations as well as Parish and Town Councils. In addition to the various options presented, you may wish to tell them your own options. All of the responses sent to them will be taken into account in shaping the final document.

The public consultation closes on Monday 14th December 2015. Any responses received after 5pm on Monday 14th December 2015 cannot be accepted.

Where can I find out more?

All of the documents relating to the consultation can be found on the Council’s website at www.wealden.gov.uk/wealdenlocalplan .
