As a Parish Councillor I have volunteered to coordinate volunteers of Mayfield and Five Ashes in  litter picking as part of the Great British Spring Clean initiative.

Perhaps we should concentrate our efforts on the first two weekends of April (before Easter and the Mayfield festival occupy our attention) but if you are game to participate it really doesn’t matter when you choose to do it.

Please contact me and then we can decide which area each individual or group would like to cover – we need to make sure we’re not all going over the same ground.

The Parish Council can provide litter grabbers, refuse bags and fluorescent jackets and the bags will be picked up  by WDC.
