We have to thank Gill Weavers, who, as Chairman of the Parish Council for the last three years, stood down for personal reasons at the recent Parish Council meeting. We thank her for her sterling work in getting the Mayfield & Five Ashes Community and Health Centre project up and running, without which we would not be where we are today. Deveda Redman has been elected as Parish Council chair and will be taking over the tasks previously undertaken by Gill. James Lench remains as Chairman of the Mayfield Community and Health Centre Committee. 

The project is progressing as work continues with the preparation of the planning application together with the detailed building specification needed for the eventual build contract.

We are aware that a small minority have a problem with the health centre element; however we continue to receive the overwhelming support of the majority of the village who voted for the project, as well as the support of the Woodhill Surgery doctor’s practice.
