A local business has reported receiving an email which pretends to include an invoice from Mayfield and Five Ashes website.

The website is NOT sending out any invoices and this is a scam.  DON’T open any attached files and DON’T click on any links since this could infect your system.  Either delete the scam mails or report them.

There are also emails being sent to businesses which pretend to come from someone senior (e.g. the boss of your company) asking you transfer money into an outside account and giving you the bank account number and sort code.  Needless you say, you should never make unexpected business payments without checking that the requests are genuine.
