Message from the Chairman of Mayfield and Five Ashes Parish Council:
"It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
We are saddened and our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time."
Flowers:
Members of the public may lay flowers at the War Memorial in Five Ashes and in the porch of St Dunstan’s church in Mayfield where candles will also be available to light.
Book of Condolence:
The book of condolence has been set up in St Dunstan’s Church in Mayfield and is available for the public to write their messages of condolence in from 8:30 am to 7pm until the day following the funeral.
National Moment of Reflection
A national one minute silence will be held nationwide on Sunday (September 18) to remember the life of Queen Elizabeth II.
The minute’s silence will take place at 8pm, the day before The Queen’s State Funeral.
Members of the public have been invited to observe the one-minute silence at this time to reflect on and remember Queen Elizabeth II.
