Foodbank open

Poster for Mayfield foodbankYou can just turn up at the Foodbank – no need for vouchers or assessments.  It’s there to give confidential help to the young and old facing temporary difficulties.

The Foodbank is open Tuesday 10-11 and Friday 5-6 at the Old Fire Station, on your left as you go down Fletching Street just above Carpenters Cottages.  Deliveries to the housebound can also be arranged.

If you would like to donate tins and packets of food, toiletries and hygiene products, you will find boxes in the village churches and the primary schools.  A typical food parcel would include cereal, soup, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, beans, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tea/coffee, tinned fruit and biscuits.
