The Village Clock Jubilee Appeal has been very successful and has been generously and well supported across the Parish and local community. Sufficient progress has been made to enable initial work on the clock to be scheduled for mid-February. Smiths of Derby will be undertaking the replacement of the failed and old autowinders, the installation of a pendulum arrester /regulator that will improve time keeping and a mechanism to stop the clock chimes when necessary (night muffling).  

There is a need to do some electrical work and possibly enhancements to the housing of the clock that hopefully will be covered by the generous donations to the appeal

We very much look forward to celebrating the return to full working order of the clock and the celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
