Wealden District Council is currently undertaking work on its Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA). It is a technical assessment that considers the availability, suitability and achievability of land in the District for possible development. The assessment does not in itself determine whether a site should be allocated for development but is used to aid the Local Plan making process. The SHELAA is not a statement of District Council planning policy.
