Following the withdrawal of the Wealden Local Plan, Wealden District Council has started work to progress a new Local Plan. The Local Plan will set out a vision and framework for the future development of the District.

As part of this process, they are updating their land availability evidence through the Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA) .  It is a technical assessment which considers the availability, suitability and achievability of land in the District for the purpose of identifying deliverable sites to meet the housing and economic growth needs of the District. This  exercise invites landowners to put forward sites for consideration for housing, economic development and is runningto 10 August 2020 and details on how to submit sites can be found at the web address below.
